A record button that’s easier to tap

You suggested

Tapping near the edge of the record button could show a focus square instead of starting or stopping a recording.

What we changed

We made the area that responds to your tap larger while keeping the button’s familiar appearance. Starting and stopping a recording is now easier when your thumb lands near the edge.

The correction has passed our iPhone TestFlight check and is prepared for Apple review. After submission, our estimated availability window is 24–48 hours, subject to Apple’s review and approval. The App Store release date is not yet confirmed.

Landscape filming for left-handed users

You suggested

A user asked for a more comfortable way to operate UpTakes left-handed while filming in landscape.

What we changed

Left-Handed mode lets you turn the phone the other way for landscape filming, with the controls switching sides to match your grip.

To choose it, open Settings → Camera Mode → Landscape Hand → Left-Handed.
